More pics from Dr Sketchy on June 15th, now in black-and-white.
I’ve always loved black-and-white photography, and especially converting to black-and-white in Photoshop. (Which requires a great deal of judgment and technical skill to do right. I’m not saying I haveĀ that judgment and skill, just that I enjoyed doing it.)
Since upgrading to Win7, my old CS version of Photoshop is history, so until I upgrade to CS5 (big leap!) I’m experimenting with other tools. I think these came out pretty well, especially considering I used IrfanView to convert them! Of course, it’s always good to have a great model, especially if you don’t have a great photographer….
Some pictures from Dr. Sketchy 6-15-10
These are some pictures I took at Dr. Sketchy at Dino’s on June 15. The model is Candace Campbell (pinupordie.com). Of course, I’m not a pinup photographer (or any kind of photographer for that matter) but then again, I’m not much of a sketch artist either, and Dr. Sketchy is a live drawing event. So why not take pictures, too? Anyway, if any of these are any good, it’s entirely to Candace’s credit, who is the real talent here — I can only take blame for the flaws.
